MERCIFUL DEMONS- 2

 ----------------------------------------------------------

(A rant)

‘Animal cruelty’ has hit me on many emotional levels now.

I am in desperate need of answers, to be honest. Even you might have been in my place someday, isn’t it?

If you ask me,

I really don’t want to sit paralyzed, on my couch, and wonder why I feel so awful, and why doesn’t the world change itself. I wish I could stop myself from shutting my mouth in front of some cold-blooded, ruthless and heartless people who just live for themselves and have been surrendered to their greed of snatching away precious lives.

I don’t want people, around me, who always try to understand me, to tell me, “what can we, do dear…people have always been this way. You can’t change anything”. Ugh……. I just wish I wasn’t suffocated by the thought that my own people, who feel petrified to see some cruelty visuals, who, then, are always caught up by the same thought of ‘why doesn’t the world change’, who comfort me at those times, supporting and also indirectly promoting cruelty in their day to day lives. That’s hypocrisy at its best.

Though I have the right, to undying laughter, happiness and love in my life, those numerous souls, with a heart just like me n you, who also, are entitled to life, have to get mutilated, burnt, ripped out, shredded, and what not, to either bring tainted money in peoples’ hands, or those inhuman smiles when people happily finish their tasty, delicious weekend meals of else’s tears and blood.

It haunts me to wake up every day to the fact that today’s kids are gonna be doing and performing the exact same practices their parents have been teaching them. They are obviously going to imitate what they see around. It is pitiful, to imagine the next generations, coming into this world, just to see cruelty and slaughter factories everywhere. Yes, talking about behaviour towards animals and more significantly, non-vegetarianism. And yes again, I will talk about it, as much as possible.

I wonder why we cuddle some and put forks in others.

Humanity is disgustingly tainted when people consider non-veg dishes as delicacies and relish them too, knowing that they are poor, mute souls, lying dead on their plate, unwillingly sacrificing their life and happiness for people to ram knives and forks into them.

I wonder why humanity has gone for a toss, when people try to convince me that consuming animals is a cycle of life. It’s not, and we will give this point a visit too. They, most of the times, are ignorant about their own theory. It is shameful, to even hear the ideologies that have been inscribed upon the minds of elder people, and why they follow them, besides that, promote them too. A paradigm shift seems almost impossible in their case.

Changing this reality seems impossible too, isn’t it?

No, it is possible.

If you’ve reached till here, that is pretty commendable.

Let’s dive in, then.

 ----------------------------------------------------------

        THE BITTER TRUTH

You know, that ‘uncle’ in your area, who doesn’t really seem to like strays, and you have frequently witnessed him pelting stones at those poor souls.

There are a few mischievous kids in your vicinity, you know them well too, but they, many a times, trouble those strays, they torture the dogs and cats by either tormenting them with colours during Holi or with crackers during Diwali, and you know the rest.

You have seen an injured and bleeding cat or a dog, or some animal, lying on the road.

You have been to the mutton shop nearby, coz there are people waiting at home with that ‘par-tayyy’ mood, to illogically celebrate nothing but the weekend.

You can see those horses and camels tired of their hell-like lives, in those fairs and carnivals, you can see some parents paying fees and making their children happy by letting them ride on those mute, tortured souls.

You can see your friend has bought a golden retriever, or a husky, or a Persian cat, or a great den from a breeder.

Your friend told you how much fun he/she had with their family at the zoo or the animal park that holiday.

And more.

Many of these incidents must have been checklisted in your case, maybe.

But do these incidents end on a positive note?

Like,

You have seen an injured cat, lying on the road, but you rushed it to the pet clinic.

You rushed towards that uncle to ask him to stop pelting stones and tell why those animals don’t deserve that. You had a chat with those kids, and told them that ‘not a single creature has more or less right to be here’ or something similar to it. You tried convincing your friends or relatives that why adoption is better than inhumanly supporting ‘dog breeding’, and you tried telling those parents that torchering horses n camels for selfish reasons is not right. You stopped someone from visiting zoos and circuses, and you started avoiding weekend non-veg plans.

And you save so many lives, unknowingly. And I swear, you’ll identify this fact as pure happiness, at the end of the day.

That’s what we need. This is the change. Small things. We don’t have to roam around with banners and have events, or do something huge. We just have to start practicing what we say or think.

It’s a bitter truth,

That some people are aware of their inaction towards saving lives,

that they don’t wish that other souls should live,

that nowadays, they don’t care for the silent weeps of animals,

that they enjoy the poor, dead souls on their plates,

and,

THAT THEY CHOOSE CRUELTY, EVERYDAY.

'C
YCLE OF LIFE'

‘Cycle of life’, ‘balance in nature’, are the concepts I have heard over the years, as a pathway to convince me to start consuming animals. Relatives, friends, and by everyone.

Coming straight to the point, if the population of so called ‘consumable animals’ is being artificially increased, does that become eligible to be called as a cycle of life?

If the eggs people consume, are produced in a magnified amount, by injecting fluids, drugs, and what not, into hens, won’t they obviously, produce more than they originally can?

If the chickens and goats and whatever poor souls people eat, are forced to breed more and more, thus increasing the supply, and obviously financial profits, does consuming them, then, makes it a natural cycle?

All the questions speak for themselves.

On one hand, we are mercilessly playing with the numbers of animal population, for the sake of unnecessary needs of people, unceasingly increasing the supply by tons of artificial ways, and on the other hand, people keep blabbering about their ‘natural cycle concept’ to them who just want some poor hearts to keep beating with love and affection.

Insects eating other insects. Snakes eating frogs. Birds eating worms. Cats eating mice, dogs eating other animals. This, is natural. Cats don’t go and work in a factory where mice are tortured to increase their population so that other cats don’t starve to death. Yes, sarcasm, coz no one is succumbing to death coz of lack of non-veg in his/her life.

Centuries ago, man eating animals, was natural. He had no choice. He didn’t consume animals coz they were appetizing n all that, he did coz he had to. He didn’t know farming then. But not now. It’s not a cycle. We have, ourselves, fabricated this ‘cycle’ illusion, so that we can consume animals without any guilt. Labelling our practices as a ‘natural cycle’ is just a free pass towards being inhuman and guilt-free, when we salivate upon that chicken curry being cooked in the kitchen.

So,

no, it’s not a natural cycle now.

   THE MIRAGE

India is the 'vegetarian capital of the world'. Yep, a true fact, which had really relieved me. But processing this fact at the first sight, might lead to misconceptions. To be clear, let’s look at the numbers we have.

72% of the Indian population is non-vegetarian. And that accounts to just a mere 28% of vegetarian population. Then why is India still called the 'vegetarian capital of the world'?

Literally 85-90% of the world prefers non-veg. Even I was shocked!

No. of vegetarians in India(which is unfortunately too less) is literally the highest, than any other country in the world!

This is clearly saddening.

     ----------------------------------------------------------

        VOICE AND ACTION

YES! A big fat YES!

To your voice! It matters.

If…even you feel, that promoting animal welfare, and not only that but contributing towards it daily, is the need of the hour, you are gonna have to speak up, no matter what. We can’t let ourselves down, by some silly prejudiced community out there.

Expressing, writing, blogging, speaking up, defending your views, convincing people, changing mindsets, discussing on social media platforms, vlogging, etc, so many ways to solidify your voice. We are living in such an advanced world today, with different technologies booming with every step we take, a world, so social now, and still we’re stuck in the ‘what can I do alone?’ labyrinthine.

People will listen to you. They will. But, only if you start to speak. There are so many people, who wish the world was a better place for the mute souls, but are withheld by the fact that they’re alone in this. But no, we’re not. Even you wish the same, right?! So we’re not alone!

Let’s really start from our own selves, and then families, then, the society. You and me, let’s speak up, let’s become a voice for the mute and make a difference in lives.

We’re really unaware of this fact, but, through small acts, we can be a ‘blessing in disguise’ in someone’s life. We can save innumerable innocent tears flowing through the local slaughter machines flooded in our surroundings, by atleast reducing non-veg, avoiding chicken, meat, and what nots and most preferably going vegetarian, by treating strays with compassion, by banning original leather and animal fur items in our houses.

Umm, no offence, but… you can really save hundreds of lives in your entire lifetime, by not consuming those poor souls. Isn’t that SO good?

Such acts of benevolence, as I see, really do, satisfy the purpose of our life, the quest for ultimate happiness. That feeling is a lot more beautiful than it seems. These acts might also turn out to be the invisible good deeds that will be carved on our deathbed, and at the end of the day, who doesn’t want to become a good person?

Oh you read it till here?

RESPECT+++

(and a lot of love from khajoor; he said he misses you!)

  1. You gave a clarity towards the cycle, I guess now we all know that nature's cycle isn't any excuse for their pleasure, great work

  2. The blog is very thoughtful indeed..!
Kudos to you for upbringing these points publically ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
But I just felt something kind of hypocritical, which is...
I totally see that according to your perspective.. We should think about the pain and agony which those animals must be bearing before consuming them.. I rather can't deny the facts.. BUT where does the same pain or agony felt by them vanishes before billions of people consume medicines which are majoritily tested on innumerous animals before mass production ๐Ÿคท‍♂️
So does that mean WE SHOULD STOP TAKING MEDICINES? (Ofcourse, Ayurvedic and homeopathy medicines are excluded)
Then, an obvious question which appears in mind after reading the above statement is if that helps humanity as a whole then what's the issue?
And for that matter I think it's also justified for all those 90-95% non-vegetarians all around the globe to eat the same!
    I hope I don't offend anyone ๐Ÿ™

  3. Firstly thanku so much! ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿค—
And secondly.... Coming to your point.
I haven't included all the points regarding to animal cruelty in this blog, but at the same time, yes even i oppose this method of testing medicines and chemicals and what nots, on animals. That may be in any field. And that helps humans(only), but taints humanity, to be precise. Yes even i oppose these laboratory processes which causes pain to animals, but that's a larger topic to
be included in a blog which aims for promoting humanity in day to day lives.
But yes, as of what i think, these points would never be able to overshadow the fact that people have been mercilessly consuming animals, that sure remains of it's own importance.
There is no reason to non-vegetarianism be justified with the help of any other point or perspective, this is what i think.
Conclusion would be such, that animals are thought of low significance, by literally everyone, and that human thinks of himself as 'the living being of the highest domination' on this earth, which leads to such animal cruelty scenarios in every industry.
If we know what is wrong with us humans, we should strive to better ourselves, progressing towards humanity, each and every day.
Whatever is wrong, remains wrong, at the end of the day.

    1. I totally agree with your points and neither do I justify non-vegetarianism coz I am pretty much satisfied with my own theory about the same.
At the end of the day, I don't disagree with the fact that this may be a major issue but not only issue to be looked upon!
Thanks for presenting your thoughts ๐Ÿ˜Š❤️

  4. Well I have waited long for your new post....And finally it is here!. Well I have to agree that this one was more convincing than the previous one. Yes Cycle of life is not a justification!! Well according to me, changes in mentality needs generations and centuries to occur. Man has been killing animals for sport since the ancient time. It took centuries, and well extinction of various species to bring the world into action. To make laws against poaching. ( Unfortunately it is still going on in various places) If people want to make vegetarianism a habit, it will take centuries to develop. But I agree that there is a need..... Well the good work should start somewhere , somehow......And the work must be done patiently. Well all the best for this work against animal cruelty which you taken upon you....And of course all the best for your future posts. Love You

So nice of you to bring up such issues...... Which we conveniently overlook.....because we can't resist.... our outwardly pleasures.... I know a lot many people will be disheartened due to this realisation..... It is difficult to accept or digest..... But eventually.... In introspection........ We all agree.... with you..... ๐Ÿ‘

  11. Surely... Your points are valid .. but it's everybody's choice what and how to consume... For fun or for Hunger.... If we are talking about lives in concern of Animals then Vegetables also are living things so that means we have to stop Vegetables also ... We as human beings eating all living things whether it's vegetarian or non vegetarian.. it's all about flesh or herb .... I do not support or offending anyone.... Just expressing my thoughts...... Rest the style you addressed this topic just like an alchemist which means your name Kimayagaar.... Keep it up dear

    1. Thanks a lot! Opinions matter to me a lot, and upon yours, i would firstly say that it is not mandatory for someone's choice of consuming animals, either for fun or hunger to be rational. If seen on a larger perspective, 'hunger' around the world, i don't think it is generally solved by providing dead animals, and if we talk about fun, anyone can say if it's 'human' to eat animals for 'fun'.
About vegetables and they are living things too,
There will be a blog about that, where these stereotype points will also be sharply answered. If i wanted i would've answered it in this reply, but a blog would be more convenient for me.
Otherwise, thanks a lot for your kind appreciation๐Ÿ˜Š
